After welcoming DONG Energy last week, SEA are proud to announce that the University Of The West Of Scotland (UWS) joins 45 other organisations, as member of Scottish Energy Association.
The University occupies an integral position within Scotland’s proud tradition of excellence in education. Offering career-focused and vocationally relevant provision, UWS graduates are equipped with relevant skills to make an immediate contribution to industry, business, public and third-sector organisations.
Johnny Mone, Head of Enterprise Services at UWS, said: “The University has an exciting tradition of industrial partnerships which have helped both businesses and UWS grow. We are committed, through close collaborative working, that industry, commerce and the public sector benefit from the University’s research expertise and talented people and we are delighted to have become a member of the Scottish Energy Association.”
Scottish Energy Association® represents a number of the industry’s leading players, assisting all members in offering them an informed voice across the industry on energy matters to legislators, regulators, decision makers and the media.
Our aim is to be the voice of the energy industry and represent our members, focus on collaboration between companies, liaise with academia on skills for the industry, inform stakeholders and act as a gateway to improving industry, media and consumer dialogue within and beyond Scotland.
Among our services, we organise excellent networking events, conferences and supply customised and valuable market intelligence information for all our members. Our plan is to reach more energy professionals who will benefit from these and deliver new services to be introduced by the Scottish Energy Association®.
