Scottish First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon is set to represent Scotland and promote the country’s efforts to tackle climate change, at the COP21, also know as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference.
Through various speaking engagements, Sturgeon will highlight Scotland’s progress with regards to the country’s specific targets, in the interest of moving forward, towards a low carbon economy.
At SEA, we are proud to support various organisations, which create the innovative processes required to work towards such an economy. It is innovations such as these that allow Scotland to set the bar for tackling this issue, providing an international benchmark, which other countries should look to match in the coming years.
The purpose of COP21 is to reach a global agreement on the necessary actions required to tackle climate change and will attract around 130 leaders, Government officials and environment Ministers.
As Scotland has dedicated much time and effort into constructing a model for required action, this conference is certainly of great importance, as it offers the opportunity to negotiate and secure commitment from all parties.
